Hosted by Doug E. Fresh and Grandmixer DST, and music provided by DJ Wiz, the event was a success from start to finish. Members of the Cold Crush Brothers and Fat Joe all made appearances, and signed books for fans. Up and coming hip hop group, Krimzon, finished the night off with a energetic performance of their HHI hit, "Everything Is Hip Hop". With music provided by the legendary Kid Capri, the crowd of over 1,200 people went wild into the night. Guru, Red Alert, Prodigy, DJ Clue, Grandmaster Caz, Busta Rhymes and other Hip Hop Immortal Artists stopped by to enjoy the event, and to sign books for fans. The opening night was attended by more than 1500 VIP guests and covered by MTV,BBC,and CNN to name a few.
