Seth Kushner

Unlike many people his age, Kushner says he has known since age 17 that photography was what he wanted to do for a living. Since graduating from the School of Visual Arts four years ago, the Brooklyn native has been building an impressive resume of portraiture clients who like his unique look. "Seth's work is young and vibey without going overboard," explains Michelle Molloy, a photo editor at Newsweek . "He also hits it off well with people, which is important for a portrait photographer, yet never loses perspective of the person he's shooting." Some of the famous faces Kushner has captured include John Waters for The New York Times Magazine, and musician Ravi Shankar and author Charles Frazier for Newsweek, as well as a host of more regular folk for clients including Icon, New York, Black Book and Alfred A. Knopf..
